Impact
Live your Deen in what you wear, and in how it's made.
At All About Deen, intention doesn't stop at design. It carries into the materials we choose, the people who make our pieces, and what happens to a garment once you're done with it. We're a small brand still learning and growing, and we want to be honest about where we are and where we'd like to be.
What our clothes are made of
Most of our pieces, tshirts and hoodies are made from organic cotton. It's softer on your skin, and it asks less of the land.
Our activewear is the exception. Performance fabrics need to stretch, wick moisture, and hold up to movement in ways organic cotton isn't built for. So for now, those pieces use technical synthetic blends. We're actively researching more sustainable performance fabrics and will update this page as that changes.
Where we're headed
We're a young brand, and we know ethical sourcing is a journey. As All About Deen grows, we're committed to:
- Partnering with suppliers who share our values on fair labour and environmental responsibility
- Prioritising organic and lower-impact materials across more of our range, including activewear
- Being transparent here about what's changed and what hasn't
Give your AAD a second life
To keep as much out of landfills as possible, we ask each of our customers to re-home their pieces once they're done with them, rather than throwing them out.
A few ways to do that:
- Donate- pass them on to someone who'll wear them, or drop them at a local clothing donation bin or charity.
- Recycle- take them to a textile recycling facility so the fabric can be given a new life instead of ending up in landfill.
Check back on this page for more specific drop-off points, and recycling tips and organisations as we put them together.
